Princeton in Africa Fellows spend one year in an African country working within local communities in the field of development. From Amma-Sika: "As a Princeton in Africa Fellow based in Ghana, I support Warc Africa, an agricultural social enterprise focused on empowering smallholder farmers through regenerative agriculture and inclusive development. My work spans strategic planning, project coordination, and impact measurement. Aneisa Babkir (SIS/BA) '23 has been awarded the Gates Cambridge Scholarship for a second time to pursue a PhD at the University of Cambridge, following a previous award for her MPhil studies. Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, displacement, and post-conflict peacebuilding in Sudan. 

Building on her MPhil work, her doctoral research investigates the material, affective, and embodied dimensions of displacement as an enduring socio-political condition. Through this work, she aims to challenge and expand conventional approaches to post-conflict reintegration and peacebuilding. Her commitment to this work is shaped by both academic inquiry and hands-on experience across international development contexts.
