We hope the semester is off to a good start. Today, we want to share an update about our continuing work on key university policies in support of free expression, community safety, and belonging.

On , we published the , , and  policies for review and comment. Thank you to all community members who submitted comments. After reviewing and considering all feedback, additional updates were made to the policies and the official versions are now in effect and available in the policy library.

Today, the the draft  and  policies were posted for community review. Comments on these policies must be submitted by September 18, 2024. There are two upcoming community forums to discuss the policies and receive feedback––a session for faculty and staff at 2 p.m. on September 6 (RSVP to attend  or ) and a session for students at 3 p.m. on September 9 (students ). Following the comment period and the forums, we will review all feedback and finalize the Social Media and Facilities Use policies.
