The 17th Annual SPA Undergraduate Research Symposium (UGRS) provides a forum for undergraduate students to present their original scholarly and creative work before colleagues, friends, and faculty. A "Best of" Award will be determined and handed out for each session, which will include recognition at the annual SPA Awards Ceremony. The symposium was held Wednesday April 23^rd, 2025, in Kerwin Hall. Timeframe is TBD. The Call for Abstracts is now open and can be submitted through the button below. Categories include American Political Systems, The Intelligence Community and National Security both domestic and global, Domestic Policy Issues, the American Legal System, and Global Political Systems.

Abstracts will be accepted until Tuesday March 18^th at Noon EST. A draft schedule will be shared with all presenters within a week of the Call for Abstracts closing. Presenters will have until mid-April to confirm their participation and finalize their presentation details. Questions can be directed to Justin Williams at jwilliam@american.edu.
