Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3E07

This is a  for Advisory Neighborhood Commission 3E07 from DC Board of Elections. Students who reside in Nebraska Hall, Constitution Hall, Federal Hall, Hughes Hall, McDowell Hall, or Letts Hall and meet the following criteria are encouraged to request nominating petitions by email via candidate@dcboe.org:

• Is registered and actually residing in the single-member district;
• Has been residing in the district continuously for the 60 days immediately preceding the day on which the person files the nominating petitions as a candidate as such a member;
• Holds no other elected public office; and
• With the exception of a member representing the single-member district that includes the Central Detention Facility and Correctional Treatment Facility, has not been convicted of a felony committed while serving as a Commissioner.
  • For the purpose of this subsection, the term “elected public office” means the offices of Mayor, Chairman or member of the Council, member of the State Board of Education, and the Delegate to the House of Representatives.

If you live on-campus in a residence hall, at Frequency apartments, or in off-campus housing in DC and would like to register to vote in Washington, DC, here's how to do it. Same-Day Registration is available at all Vote Centers during the Early Voting period and on Election Day. You must bring  (see instructions below). If you need a ride to the polls, please email auvotes@american.edu to request one free Lyft code (up to $20) to use on election day (while supplies last).

Any student living on-campus can message Housing & Residential Life (HRL) at housing@american.edu and request an address verification form that includes your name, address, and dates living in the residence halls. Here's how to write your address when completing your DC voter registration form.
